National Child Support Enforcement Association’s
   (NCSEA) 2004 Judicial Officer of the Year Award

TheSuperior Court of California, County of Glenn is pleased to announce that Commissioner Peter B. Twede has been selected as a recipient of the National Child Support Enforcement Association’s (NCSEA) 2004 Judicial Officer of the Year award. The award will be presented to Commissioner Twede in August at the NCSEA’s 53rd Annual Training Conference and Expo in Palm Springs.

The NCSEA is the nonprofit, membership organization representing the child support community - a workforce of over 60,000. NCSEA's mission is to promote the well being of children through professional development of its membership, advocacy and public awareness. NCSEA's membership includes line/managerial/executive child support staff; state and local agencies; judges; court masters; hearing officers; government and private attorneys; social workers; advocates; corporations that partner with government to provide child support services and private collection firms.

Commissioner Twede has been hearing matters regarding child support for the Glenn Superior Court since his appointment by the Judges of the Court in October of 1997. He also hears the same matters for the Tehama, Plumas and Colusa Superior Courts. Commissioner Twede received his JD in 1976 from Lincoln University School of Law in San Francisco and was admitted to the Bar the same year.
